Parents of profoundly gifted children find Miraca Gross' research and the profiles she shares in this book a treasure! It is currently out of print, but it can be found and is well worth searching for. Miraca is a gifted writer as well as a gifted researcher.

If you only have time to read one book on the profoundly gifted, I recommend this one. The book is full of information and pages are enriched with Miraca Gross' wit and wisdom.

One of the best resources available-- definitely worth the search! What a relief to finally read about other children like mine and know that I was not alone. As much as I do not like comparing children, I found the tables of milestones and characteristics wonderfully supportive.

This book is a "must have" for parents and teachers of the profoundly gifted. It has an excellent scientific basis for explaining how deeply PG children can be hurt or helped by the education they are provided. Read it no matter how old your children are...even if your children are already grown, or if you were that child...be prepared to cry, but also to recognize that there is still more that can be done to help.
