This book brings together perspectives from educators, parents, researchers, and students about what works and what doesn't for twice exceptional students. It may be time for an educational revolution. Writers for Uniquely Gifted will be leading the way. Profoundly gifted children with other special needs are the least apt to be identified and served within existing systems, because their compensatory abilities counterbalance their areas of need. As such, without intervention, they may be consistently above average -- but still frustrated in their own efforts, with their own goals, as they strive to reach their highest potential. Uniquely Gifted contains many chapters of direct and immediate interest to PG families.

This is a very valuable resource for teachers, in particular, to better understand the complexities in identifying and supporting highly gifted students with learning disabilities. I highly recommend it.

This is a great collection of links and resources and could be really helpful to a family of a twice-exceptional child.
