I used this book at first because it just seemed like fun. I was shocked, however, when without having read any of the chapters yet, our son took "The Culturescope Quiz" at age 7 (93 questions) and scored better than most high school seniors (and he hasn't had exposure to many of the movies and books mentioned in the test, as compared to someone years older, and so should have been at a disadvantage taking this quiz). This book can be a wake-up call for parents of some PG kids. It's also just fun as you can just do a few questions a day and skip around as you please.
