Description

This book is a series of booklists for children, which include relevant information about the books, suggested grade levels, and short descriptions.

The books are listed by categories (e.g., "animals," "biography," "humor," etc.). The short descriptions of each book familiarize parents with plot and contents. The volume includes a handy check-box for each book, allowing you to keep an ongoing record of which books have been completed. Unique to this particular booklist are the author's inclusion of "a wide range of people in varying circumstances. . .some of them children in very difficult situations." Distinctively Judeo-Christian in ethical values presented in the books.

Rating:
For very sensitive profoundly gifted children, this booklist contains challenging literature that is unlikely to have offensive content, or content too emotionally difficult for a very young advanced reader to cope with. This book will also be very useful to parents who seek to help their profoundly gifted children find good, challenging literature with appropriate content for the child's emotional development.
