Description

This is a true account of a parent's perspective. "I think that my son's Montessori story shows what can be accomplished by a school that respects the individuality of each child and emphasizes respect for all children. He spent [six] years in the Montessori elementary program, from which he will graduate this spring. It has been an unqualified success."

A Montessori elementary school proved to be the solution to one family's education situation for their profoundly gifted son. This article tells how and why this option worked so well for this child and family, as well as giving ideas of why a similar Montessori environment (they aren't all the same) might be a good learning environment for any profoundly gifted child.
