This is a great game! It would be especially good for kids in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade who are studying the Oregon Trail in school. It will teach you what supplies they used during that time to make it across the United States. I really liked fishing at Upper Salmon Falls and hunting. You should hunt before you hit the Rocky Mountains, because there are lots of buffalo.

This is not only a great game but a great teaching tool, too. This is a great supplement to any discussion on pioneer life, giving the user a slight "feel" for what the pioneers had to endure. My 7 and 9-year-old love this game! They started playing it when they were 5 and 7, respectively.

I think Oregon Trail is a great game that remains fun while teaching players about managing resources and using their common sense. I played Oregon Trail a lot when I was in grade school and I still remember all the fun I had. A great resource for all!
