This site offers all kinds of helpful activities and resources for the beginner/intermediate student including a spanish pronunciation guide where you can hear all the sounds, an automatic verb conjugation page, lists of most frequently used words, a free pen pal exchange, and a database of further links. You can also sign up to receive the "Spanish Word of the Month" by email and check out their bilingual online chatroom where you can practice your Spanish.

This site has some great vocabulary builders. A list of Christmas vocabulary and phrases particularly appealed to me. Also, the concept of a "Spanglish" chat would be very interesting. I think for people wanting to learn or perfect their Spanish, this is a great tool.
