This distance learning program teaches students Japanese. "With the use of a computer and an Internet connection, viewers can interact electronically with other students in the course. They can use this web site to supplement each lesson, and also to link to websites throughout the world. Students will find a wealth of information about Japanese language and culture on the Irrasshai website."

This program is an excellent resource for those interested in learning or teaching the Japanese language in a standards based curriculum. They send videos for students to watch while offering supplemental material on the website. Students also have access to others in the course. This would be a valuable resource for those learning the language at home or in a classroom.
