In her book, Dr. Rimm takes a positive outlook on growing into womanhood. She focuses on the ways that a young woman can make it through the trials of adolescence and succeed in life. This is a fresh perspective on adolescence that was fantastic to read. Any parent who has a daughter going through adolescent-angst should read this book.

I was actually turned on to this book by the DITD staff :). I have perused it well in my spare time and I find it quite inspiring. My favorite parts of the book are the sections where real women's lives are presented and accounts of how they overcame obstacles to become successful, independent women are given. I personally found "See Jane Win" very inspirational.
