"Challenges for Elementary School Students (CHESS) is an academic summer program for members of the Belin-Blank Exceptional Student Talent Search (BESTS) who are currently in grades 2 through 6. CHESS offers half-day classes at sites throughout Iowa. Students may register for up to six classes."

This is a good option for students who are seeking academic challenge in a summer program.
