Description

This CD-ROM package is designed as a self-teaching Latin course, allowing multiple levels of students to utilize the program. There are two courses: Level I, which is equivalent to the first two years of high-school Latin and Level II, which is equivalent to the second two years. The courses are available in book form or on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM allows for instant feedback of answers. Not only does the program teach Latin, but it also teaches Roman culture and English parts of speech.

I would highly recommend this program, especially for children with parents who haven't taken Latin before. My two daughters, ages 9 and 7, are using this program. The program goes step-by-step through pronunciations, which is making the learning process much easier, almost like having a real teacher in the classroom. Both my daughters love it! The program becomes repetitious at times, but the students have the ability to skip information. Families or schools should download and run the demo before purchasing the course.

I have wanted to learn Latin for about a year and a half, but have been hindered by the fact that most middle schools don't teach it. I love that I have been able to move at my own pace; over break I was able to do 1.5-2 chapters a day! The system makes it so easy to learn Latin, that a teacher isn't even needed.
